Zitron Nederland celebrates its twentieth Anniversary
In 2002, a team of highly experienced engineers – specialized in the design and production of industrial fans and tunnel ventilation systems – decided to start up their own company focusing on tunnel ventilation. A partnership was forged with a leading Spanish mining and tunnel ventilation system manufacturer that was prepared to provide full support for their venture, Zitrón S.A. (Gijón). Today, Zitrón Group has 23 subsidiaries and branches, and is a leading supplier of ventilation systems for road, rail, metro and mining, with projects in more than 80 countries.
Zitron Nederland principally operate in Western Europe and has a motivated and experienced team of 28 employees with a combined experience of over 300 years in the field of tunnel ventilation and tunnel fans.
Since 2002, the Company has supplied over 60 ventilation systems for road and rail tunnels in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Benelux countries. Appealing examples are the Rennsteig and Tiergarten tunnels in Germany, the Tauern, Bosruck, Pfänder and Gleinalmtunnels in Austria, the Kirchenwald/Lopper, Mappo-Morettina, Terri/Russelin, Graitery/Moutier, Gotthard, Gubrist and Galgenbuck tunnels in Switzerland, the Diabolo and Brussels-Midi rail tunnels in Belgium and the Betuwe/Barendrecht rail tunnels and the Schiphol and Kethel road tunnels in the Netherlands.
For many of these tunnels, Zitron Nederland performs service and maintenance of the ventilation system. This service is also provided for tunnels equipped by others.
