Who we are
Zitrón is a global leader in the field of ventilation solutions for underground environments such as mines, road and rail tunnels, metro systems and other specialist uses.
Over the past years Zitrón has expanded to become one of the largest and most technologically driven and innovative ventilation companies in the world. In addition to the extensive testing and manufacturing facilities that Zitrón has at its Spanish headquarters, the company has invested in shortening delivery times to its global mining customer base by establishing additional manufacturing centres in Australia, Chile, Russia, South Africa, Mexico and Turkey.
Zitrón has supplied ventilation to mines in some of the harshest and most remote environments in the world. In recognition of the importance of the South African and Sub Saharan Africa markets, Zitrón South Africa was established in 2017 as the vehicle for its operations in these markets.
What we do
We combine our global strength with local South African experience and capabilities to provide mining and other clients in Sub Sahara Africa with innovative and quality solutions. Our robust systems operate in the most harshest and demanding environments.
We design and manufacture primary and secondary mine ventilation systems that comprise fans from 7.5 kW to more than 10 MW in power and from 600 mm to more than 5,000 mm in diameter. All fans are purpose designed and built to client specifications.
We offer turnkey solutions and can assist with the design of shafts, drifts and tunnel dimensions and shapes to optimise inlet conditions for air flow through Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) analysis.
