ZITRÓN has participated in the design, supply, manufacture, installation and commisioning of the ventilation system for 3 of the 31 tunnels that, due to safety requirements, require forced ventilation for their length, which are:

  • Los Colibríes tunnel: 890 meters long, 4 fans of 1,200 mm in diameter and 63 kW of power. Model JZR 12-63, resistant to 300º 2 hours, to ensure sanitary and emergency ventilation in tunnel.
  • Barranqueros tunnel: 620 meters long, 3 fans of 1,200 mm in diameter and 63 kW of power. Model JZR 12-63, resistant to 300º 2 hours, to ensure sanitary and emergency ventilation in tunnel.
  • Main tunnel of “La Línea”: 8,650 meters in length, 20 fans of 1,600 mm in diameter and 90 kW of power. Model JZR 16-90, resistant to 300º 2 hours, to ensure sanitary and emergency ventilation in tunnel, applying a 100% longitudinal ventilation system.
  • “La Línea” pilot tunnel: 8,650 meters long, 17 fans of 630 mm in diameter and 3 kW of power. Model ZVN 1-6.3-3 / 4, to ensure overpressure in the evacuation galleries in case of emergency. In addition, 2 fans of 1,000 mm in diameter and 34 kW of power, model ZVN 1-10-34 / 4, were installed in the portals to ensure air renewals and the supply of fresh air to the pilot tunnel itself and to the tunnel emergency galleries.
