Samancor Doornbosch Ventilation Fans Samancor Doornbosch Ventilation Fans
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The challenge: The client had the highest technical requirements for air quality and operational reliability, while they expected the lowest running costs at a low capital investment. We delivered an integrated starter and control panel next to every supplied fan to meet these challenges. The project also had a tight deadline to replace existing redundant ventilation system with only a one-day allowance for changeover.
Zitrón’s solution: Zitrón delivered a compact modular fan system with a bifurcated ducting arrangement. This ensured simplistic civil bases, cost effective equipment and high-performance fans. We completed the fan installation and commissioning of the fans before change-over of existing fans, ensuring all likely issues were adequately addressed.
Scope of Supply: Engineering, design, construction, delivery, civils, EC&I and installation of the fans, including the successful commissioning and handover of two complete fan stations.
Results: Zitrón’s solution resulted in substantial capital cost savings. We worked with the client ventilation engineers to develop an operating strategy that delivers increased system efficiency and cost savings. Our surface fan solution replaced an entire fleet of underground fans used to aid airflow.
