ZITRON’s Participation in the LIAISON Project

Moving towards a more sustainable transport infrastructure

LIASON Project Team: Zitron Roberto Arias

Last May, ZITRON formalized its participation in the LIAISON project. We are participating for the first time in a European-level R&D project, joining a consortium of 15 companies hailing from diverse European nations. Our enthusiastic involvement is aimed at contributing to this initiative, which is dedicated to introducing innovative solutions to Europe’s transport infrastructure.

The LIAISON project, funded by the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA), is poised to provide knowledge and technical solutions to reduce transport infrastructures emissions. This is particularly essential considering the substantial environmental impact attributed to factors such as material consumption, waste generation, and CO2 emissions associated with transport infrastructure. Therefore, to achieve the European sustainability goals, new knowledge and technical solutions for this sector are needed.

In this project, our participation is focused on the optimization of the energy consumption of the fans in a pilot tunnel in Spain, using ZJETS and frequency variators to achieve energy efficiency.

As we embark on this remarkable journey of innovation, we are dedicated to realizing the vision of a more sustainable and low-carbon transport infrastructure in Europe. Stay tuned for updates as we progress, and be sure to explore our contributions to the LIAISON project.
